Given Google channeling billions of advertisements each day, filter out various promotional slant this is not easy.
That is why, as summarized KompasTekno of ZDNet, Monday (01/25/2016), Google formed a team of 1,000 people to capture the rogue ads.
"With the combination of computer algorithms and ad reviewer, we can block most of these rogue ad before it appears," said Senior Vice President of Google Ads and Commerce, Sridhar Ramaswamy.
The ad reviewer team members come from various corners of the world. The workings of this rogue ad screening system similar to that implemented a similar system in the Android app store, Google Play Store.
There is an automatic malware scanner that scans the ads distributed network of third-party ad networks. Then, the team members also perform the analysis.
How much advertising rogue circulating through the Google network? Last year alone there were 780 million advertising blocked.
Ramaswamy added that it helped close access to approximately 7,000 phishing sites, as well as other sites that plied 10,000 malicious software.
The figures above include the new ad blocking activity on the desktop only. In the mobile environment, this internet giant helped implement a similar policy.
Google, for example, stop your ads on over 25,000 mobile applications because developers do not follow the rules, such as placing the ad space too close to the icon button so often depressed by mistake.
