World Richest People treasure 62 Equivalent to treasure Half of World Population



The latest report from Oxfam International shows, the value of the wealth of the world's richest 62 people super combined wealth equivalent to the value of half the world's population.

The net worth of billionaires soared high in the five years ending 2015. In 2010, the net worth of the 388 billionaires a combined wealth of the world.

Oxfam released its annual report ahead of the World Economic Forum in the Swiss city of Davos, which is an annual event and the political leaders of the financial world.

This study drew on data from the annual list of billionaires Forbes Global Wealth and data book released by Credit Suisse.

Anti-poverty groups want any more attention to the magnitude of the wealth gap between the rich world and the poor.

During 2010 to 2015, the property's 62 billionaires grew 44 percent, or more than half a trillion dollars to 1.76 trillion dollars, or about Rp 24 464 trillion (exchange rate of Rp 13,900 per US dollar).

While 3.6 billion people in the world decreased by 41 percent property value.

Nearly half the people are super rich are from the United States, 17 from Europe, and the rest from various other countries such as China, Brazil, Mexico, Japan and Saudi Arabia.

"Wealth move quickly and are concentrated in the top of the pyramid," said Gawain Kripke, Director of Policy and Research Oxfam America.

Not only that, the level of the income gap between the rich and the poor is widening. About 20 percent of the world's poorest groups-which live below the extreme poverty line, living by spending less than 1.90 dollars per day-has decreased considerable revenue in the period 1988 to 2011.

While, 10 percent of the rich enjoy the wealth rise by 46 percent.

"The global economy does not work to attract these poor people out of poverty," said Deborah Hardoon, Deputy Head of Research Oxfam's.
